1985 Fleer – Zach Walters

2011 csd Custom – Kevin Eichhorn

Here is the first minor league card in the 2011 set. Kevin Eichhorn is the son of former Toronto Blue Jay Mark Eichhorn. I enjoyed watching him pitch yesterday, and I still wonder why he was pulled before getting the one out that would have made him eligible for the win. I guess the pitch counts are pretty tight in the minors. (more…)

2011 csd Preview – Jordan Danks

Jordan is the brother of current Sox pitcher John Danks. Jordan currently plays for the Charlotte Knights of the International League. He is one step away from joining his brother on the big club. That is a big step though, and one that he has been trying to make for a couple of years. (more…)


1987 Topps – Tanner Townsend

Minor League Monday continues with Tanner Townsend. Tanner has spent two stints with the Railcats. He played so well in his first that he was sold to the Florida Marlins. He returned to Gary last season for another go. I will always remember him as the player who the first home run ball I caught. I was just standing in left field along the concourse when he hit one to me. That is still the only home run ball I own. (more…)
