1993 Donruss – Juan Pierre

I made a couple of cards with pictures of Juan with the Bob Feller tribute behind him, and had one more that I wanted to use. I had already used up a couple templates for Juan that I could have put this picture on so I used the ’93 Donruss template. I think that it worked out well. (more…)

2011 csd Custom – Juan Pierre (Opening Day)

This was a concept that I was very gung ho about, but never really got it off the ground. I made a couple cards, but had a bunch of pictures sitting around ready to be used. I decided that some of those should be used for this set. I decided to make an Opening Day set with just pictures from Opening Day. 2011 csd Custom – Carlos Santana

Bob Feller

I made this card a while back of Bob signing for me at his museum. It was part of the short print series from the set I was making this year. I had been to his museum three times before I met him. When I did he was nice as could be, and even gave me a great baseball for my collection. I already had a ball signed with just his name. I wanted something special, and he gave that to me. He signed the ball with an inscription that commemorated his Opening Day no-hitter against the White Sox. That has to tell you what a sick fan I am when I want a ball signed with something like that. It was a long inscription, but Bob did it with no problem. I was glad for the chance to meet him. (more…)
