1987 Topps – Superstar Special (Adam Dunn and Adrian Gonzalez)

I really would like to make more cards like these from the 80’s. Of course I can’t get the access to the players that the card makers do. I have to get kind of creative to get these made. I chose the ’87 Fleer template because I love how the card looks. (more…)

1975 Topps – Adam Dunn

I have not made many cards of Adam yet. Some of that may be due to the fact that he is not living up to expectations. That is not a knock on Adam. It would be hard to live up to the expectations that the fans put on him before the season started. He has fallen on rough times, and the fans are letting him hear it right now. So far he has handled everything very well. I would love to see him reach the concourse in right field where he pointed at the day he was announced at the stadium. (more…)

2011 csd Opening Day – Adam Dunn

One of the reasons I was so excited to go to the game yesterday was to see the debut of Adam Dunn. He was highly touted, and did not disappoint. He hit a bomb in the third inning that was a no-doubter off the bat. He is a power hitter that will have his share of strikouts, but he will also hit his fair share of home runs. He found the second deck in right field during batting practice yesterday after knocking a couple off the second deck facade. (more…)

2011 csd Preview – Edwin Jackson

Edwin came to the Sox last season from the Diamondbacks. It was thought at the time that he would be traded to the Nationals for Adam Dunn. That never happened though, and as we start the 2011 season the White Sox have both players. I would say that everything worked out. (more…)

2011 csd Preview – Paul Konerko

Finally I have gotten around to posting the preview card of the White Sox captain. For a while it was very much up in the air whether or not Paulie would be back with the White Sox this season. I am glad he is back though, and I look forward to the things that he can do this season with Adam Dunn batting behind him. (more…)

2011 csd Preview – Adam Dunn

Last season the White Sox tried really hard at the deadline to get Adam Dunn. They were not successful, and had to settle for Manny Ramirez who never really did anything for the club. This off season the White Sox got their man in regards to Adam. He signed a club friendly deal that helped the Sox keep A.J. Pierzynski and Paul Konerko as well. I knew that I liked Dunn, but I liked him even more after he signed with the Sox. On the day he was announced he asked if anyone ever hit the billboards that line the outfield concourse. Go ahead Adam. You can be the first. (more…)
