merging my pictures and cards

Starlin Castro

1989 Upper Deck – Juan Pierre

Yet again here is another card of Juan Pierre today. Looking through my folder of cards I decided to rid it of players shown in a Sox uniform that no longer play for the team. I actually made this card a long time ago. Since then I used the same picture to make two 1983 Fleer SuperStar Special cards with Starlin Castro on half, and Juan on the other half. When put together they would make one complete card. I could have scrapped this card since it used the same picture, but I kind of liked how it looked so here it is.  (more…)

1975 Topps – Starlin Castro

I have been missing from here for a couple of days. A new job has really had my attention lately. I thought that I would post a couple more of my ’75 Topps cards today to get things going again on the blog. The first is of Starlin Castro. He is still rough around the edges, but is a very good player. When he hits his stride I think that he will really be something else. I have made a few cards of the future star, and plan on making a few more. (more…)

2011 csd All Star Glossy – Starlin Castro

I really don’t have near enough Cubs cards for the amount of pictures I have for the team. I am sure that this is something that will change over the winter. One player that I enjoy making cards of is Starlin Castro. He is really an up and comer that I think is just scratching the surface of what he can do. If that is true then Cubs fans have something special to watch over the next few years. (more…)

1991 Fleer – Starlin Castro

Starlin is one of the young bright spots on the Cubs right now. He had a great debut that put huge expectations on him. He is still young though so he has some days that are not so great as well. Time will tell what kind of player he will end up being, but right now he looks like he will be very good. (more…)

1977 Topps – Starlin Castro

Starlin is one of the exciting young players right now. He really seems to have all the tools to be a great player. Living near Chicago it looks like I will get to watch two very good shortstops for a long time. (more…)

1989 Upper Deck – Starlin Castro

The last card of the day is of the Cubs shortstop. Starlin Castro came to the club with a lot of fanfare last summer. He had a great first game which made the expectations of him go through the roof. He did not turn the team around like some thought that he would, but he did have a very good season. It will be interesting to see how his second season treats him. White Sox phenom Gordon Beckham did not have a great sophomore campaign so this should be interesting. (more…)

1971 Topps – Starlin Castro

This card and the next one I will post of Juan Pierre were both taken from the same picture. It was my cheating by using the same picture to make two cards that gave me the idea to make that 1983 Super Star Special card using the same picture. I normally don’t use the same picture twice, but I like these cards that were already made so why not? (more…)
