2011 csd Preview – Jake Peavy
Jake was one of my favorite players to photograph during the short time he was with the team last season. His all out style is really fun to watch and capture. As you can see on the front of the card Jake really puts everything into his pitches. This picture really shows how forceful even his follow through could be. I took this picture last May as Jake was pitching against the Blue Jays. (more…)
1985 Donruss – Jake Peavy (Error)
As a kid growing up one of the weirdest cards I ever saw was the 1985 Donruss card of Tom Seaver with Floyd Bannisters picture on it. As a kid you pick up on the fact that Seaver was a righty and Bannister was of course a lefty. How could someone miss that? Looking back as an adult it is even more mind boggling. 1985 Donruss – Jake Peavy
I haven’t had too many cards of Jake so far. He is a big name on the Sox, but he has been hurt for much of his time on the South Side. As a photographer I like his all out pitching motion as well. (more…)
1988 Donruss – Jake Peavy
I was able to see Peavy pitch a few times earlier this season before he was hurt. Jake really does let it all hang out when he pitches. Looking through my pictures you can see the effort on his face as he lets the ball go. With his mechanics it will be interesting to see how he comes back from his injury. (more…)
Jake Peavy
I was having so much fun making the Beckham card today that I went ahead and made a Jake Peavy card as well. Once I had the template for the card everything seemed to come easier for me. With every card I will try and give some background on the picture used. (more…)
