Here is a set that I loved to make. When I was growing up you had to go to McDonalds to get these cards. Living near Chicago all that they had around me were cards of the team that had just won the Super Bowl. Of course I decided when I could that I would make my own. (more…)
With the Packers opening up the playoffs tonight I thought that I would post a few of the Packer cards that have sitting in a folder since that Pack won the Super Bowl in 2011. Aaron Rodgers was really the focus of the cards that I made at that time. Being the quarterback and having the ball as much as he does of course I had the images to make cards with. Add to that the fact that he is the star of the team, and you have a bunch of cards for the All Pro.
Here is another card that I made early on featuring a Packer player. I am not too proud of these cards as they have holes all over them, but they were good to me at the time so I will post them. This is an example of a card that probably should not have been made. The back of the player is not the most appealing picture for a card, but at the time I was pulling from my stock of images which consisted of one Packer game from the stands. I really wanted Donald on another card so I was reaching a bit here.
As I said in the previous post today the Packers open up the playoffs with a game in Lambeau against the Vikings. I thought that I would post some of the cards that for one reason or another never have been posted yet. It is funny how things work. When I took this picture in 2009 Ahman Green had come back to the Pack to help out because of injury. Ryan Grant was the main guy. This year it was Ryan coming back because of injury. Ryan was fun to watch in his day. (more…)
Since the Packers open up the post season tonight at home against Minnesota I thought that I would post some of the cards that I made as the Packers were gearing up for the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. I had a few images from my lone appearance at Lambeau Field in 2009. I had a great seat so I was able to get some shots that would not look bad on a card. (more…)
I made this card last year after the Packers won the Super Bowl. Green was a huge part of past Packers success when he came back to help a team that was having depth issues in 2009. He was quite a bit bigger, but still was not too bad. In fact they had him returning kicks right away. (more…)
For the final card tonight celebrating the one year anniversary of the Packers Super Bowl win I thought that I would post this card of the Super Bowl MVP from last year. Aaron is a fun player to watch, and he really makes losing Brett Favre very bearable. Who would have thought that someone could come in and exceed what Favre accomplished? Aaron has done that and then some. (more…)
