1989 Pro Set – Ryan Kerrigan
I have made a couple of cards in honor of Ryan Kerrigan getting drafted. He was Purdue’s highest pick since 1987 so I thought that merited a few cards. This last one is modeled after the ’89 Pro Set draft cards. A lot of good names were in the original set so the cards are ingrained in my head. When I thought about doing this I knew that I had to make one. I just took my template from the Packer cards I have been making, and altered it a bit. I took the #1 pick section from a Troy Aikman card. This was a rush job so I left the Pro Set name on the card there. (more…)
1990 Pro Set Draft Pick – Ryan Kerrigan
Since Ryan was the highest draft pick since Rod Woodson in 1987 I thought that I would make a few cards of him. This one is a tribute to the ’90 Pro Set card. Unlike most of the football cards I have done so far I made this one from scratch. The design was so simple that it was probably easier than altering an actual card. I changed it up a little to reflect the fact that Ryan was a draft pick this year as well. Overall I think the card did not turn out too bad. (more…)
1990 Score Rookie – Ryan Kerrigan
Since Ryan was drafted 16th last night by the Redskins I thought I would make a couple of cards for him. For some reason the only time I make football cards is when something big happens. When the Packers were in and won the Super Bowl I made a bunch of cards some of which have not been released yet. I may make a few of the Purdue players that I have watched as they find pro teams over the next few days. (more…)
2011 NFL Draft – Ryan Kerrigan
Ryan was a great player that was fun to watch during his time as a Boilermaker. After being taken 16th in the NFL Draft he will now be terrorizing quarterbacks for the Washington Redskins. He was the highest Purdue draft pick since Rod Woodson in 1987. Rod was a great NFL player so Ryan is in good company right off the bat. (more…)
2011 NFL Draft – J.J. Watt
J.J. was a guy that was a pain to watch Purdue play against during his time with Wisconsin. After following him for a while on Twitter I began to realize that he is a really good guy. It will be great to see this Big Ten Alumn tearing it up in the pros. He was drafted tonight 11th overall by the Houston Texans. (more…)
