This is another card that was originally made to go on the back of my 2011 custom set that I made many cards for, but never really released. The sole purpose of the cards was to grace the back of my card that I made from scratch. It was a good idea, but as usual I made it into something much bigger than it should have been making it very hard to complete. Making backs with a blurb for each card was a great idea, but took a lot of time. (more…)

1991 Leaf – Sean McHugh

Since the 2012 Purdue baseball team is getting their rings tonight I thought that I would post a couple of their cards on here. I made these for fun with a few pictures that I liked from the season.

1989 Upper Deck – Miguel Cabrera

This is the same picture as the ’67 Topps card, but I felt that Miguel really needed a couple of more cards on here because of his fantastic accomplishment. I really am in awe of the fact that one man can lead the big three categories. I never thought I would see it. There are just too many good players in the league, and this year Miguel (more…)

1967 Topps – Miguel Cabrera

This is a very quickly done card to commemorate the achievement by the Tigers first baseman. I really never thought that I would see a triple crown in my lifetime. I guess that it was bound to happen, and it is amazing that it did. This seems like a simple design to copy, but for some reason Photoshop just wasn’t giving me the fonts that I wanted. In ’67 all the shots usually had (more…)

1987 Fleer – Russell Branyan

Russell is slugger for sure. He is not in the game for his defense. He is in the game to hit the longball. I made this card last summer to go on the back of my 2011 custom card. Part of the tough part about that card was that I had to make cards for the back. It was a long process that in the end made the set fail. I loved how it looked, but it took way too much time to make.  (more…)

1990 Donruss – Justin Morneau

I have only made a couple of this card as I didn’t think that I had the template right at the time. I wanted to make one for my look at Donruss over the years. While I was making the card of Gordon Beckham I realized that on the same picture was a good shot of Justin Morneau. I just moved the picture over and changed type to get a new card from the same picture.  (more…)

1989 Upper Deck – Todd Helton

The day of the Colorado Rockies officially comes to an end with this card of Todd Helton. In 2010 when I was at Wrigley Field to see the Rockies take on the Cubs I was worried that my seat in the bleachers would prevent me from seeing Todd Helton up close. Luckily he came out to the outfield to stand in the box as Jeff Francis was warming up. I loved seeing his stand up close, and it has made a couple of cards.  (more…)

1977 Topps – Billy Butler

I guess that I will post some of the Royals cards that I had made for the backs of my 2011 custom cards last season. I saw the Royals play the White Sox, and took a few pictures in order to make some cards. I put most of the Royals on a ’77 Topps card that I didn’t get around to releasing. (more…)

1987 Topps – Jerrud Sabourin

I have really neglected this site for the past couple of months. I had a bunch of cards sitting in a folder, and I realized that it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to actually put them out there. So I will not be making any new cards, but rather just releasing some older ones so that people can see what I took the time to make.  (more…)

2011 csd All Star Glossy – Miguel Cabrera

Since he came into the league with the Marlins Miguel Cabrera has been a force. He is now playing in what should be another post season after helping Detroit claim what you would guess in the Central. Both the Indians and Sox are so far back that it would take a monumental collapse by Detroit for either team to have a shot. (more…)

1977 Topps – Paul Konerko

Just to show that I have not lost my marbles and become a Cub fan I thought that I would post a card of Paul Konerko to round out the night. I have posted more cards of Paul than any other player. That is fitting because I have seen Paul play more than any other player in person. He is one of my favorites so I am sure that there will be many more cards of his to come in the future. (more…)
