1991 Leaf – Alex Dickerson
When Indiana came to play Purdue a couple of years ago I had a couple of ideas for players to shoot that played for the Hoosiers. As the weekend went on I heard that Alex Dickerson was really being scouted for the MLB draft. He was eventually selected by the Pirates in the draft, and played in high A ball last season. Since my photo a day project is now over I have a little more time to post here. This is a long overdue card of former Purdue catcher Kevin Plawecki. Kevin is now in the minors, and I can’t wait to see him when he gets up to the bigs.

1991 Leaf – Tyler Spillner
Tyler made the 2010 custom set because of a great catch he made while crashing into the plywood wall during a game I witnessed live. He is a talented member of the team that was going to make this year’s set regardless of performance. His home run in the first game of the Big Ten Tournament this season was huge. (more…)

1991 Leaf – Dustin DeMuth
Since I was going to make a few cards of Dustin I thought that I would try one from his birth year. It really makes you stop and think when you are making birth year cards that are on the edge of when you quit collecting. Maybe I should stop doing this because it is making me feel old. I always liked this design so I thought I might try and make a few of them. What better players to use than some of the players in this weekends big series in West Lafayette? (more…)
