1990 Upper Deck

1990 Upper Deck – Cory Rasmus

90 upper deck cory rasmus

Cory is the younger brother of Blue Jays slugger Colby Rasmus. I was getting some shots of the stadium in the upper deck when he was called into the game. I knew that he was one of the players that I had identified before the game that I wanted to get. I worked my way down to the main level to get a good angle on him. I snapped a couple of quick pictures to make sure I had something, and then moved to where I wanted to be. I was able to snap one picture before (more…)

1990 Upper Deck – Daniel Rodriguez

90 upper deck daniel rodriguez

I was having a little fun this morning putting a couple of my newer images onto baseball cards. I didn’t want to spend too much time doing it though so I tried to keep the same card for the same team. For the Gwinnett Braves I used the 1990 Upper Deck card. I only made a couple of these, but I kind of liked them so I thought that I would share them with you today. (more…)

1990 Upper Deck – Chris Young

Chris is a player that I have followed for a while. He came up with the White Sox before being traded to the Diamondbacks. He had a good day on Opening Day yesterday for the D-Backs so I thought I would release this card of his that I made last season.  (more…)

1990 Upper Deck – Carlos Quentin

This is where things start to get a bit harder. I have always loved watching Carlos play. No matter what his at bats are usually exciting. He doesn’t get cheated, and rarely watches a third strike. You get your money’s worth when he steps in. He may hit a towering home run, or just simply let a 95 mph fastball hit him in the chin. He was fun to watch, but if you want to watch him from now on you have to watch the Padres. We share the same birthday as well. It will be interesting to see what Carlos does in the National League. I have seen one of the pitchers that the Sox got in return when he was in Single A. Simon Castro was a beast for For Wayne of the Midwest League. Hopefully he can show that form in the bigs. 1990 Upper Deck – Justin Smoak

Here is another card that I made with a picture of Justin that I took earlier this season. I really liked his swing, and took a few pictures of it. I thought that the two pictures that I wanted to use would look good on an early Upper Deck template. (more…)

1990 Upper Deck – Juan Pierre

While going through some pictures while I was sick I came across this one I took of Juan Pierre. Juan loves to come out very early and warm up. He sat in left field for about five minutes mock batting. I took this picture during that portion of his warm up. I loved how he looked against the seats and the fans. I had a hard time finding a card to put the picture on. It was such a large picture that it made it difficult to choose. (more…)
