merging my pictures and cards

1983 Fleer

1983 Fleer – Tyler Flowers

I have been making some newer templates from scratch and getting rid of my old photoshopped templates. Early on I was relying on just altering an actual card instead of making my own. Now that I have a ’83 Fleer template I don’t need to do that anymore. I thought that I would get rid of my last ’83 Fleer card made from an actual card before making too many more from my new template. (more…)

1983 Fleer – Cody McMorris

I don’t know what card I will use for the Railcats players yet as I make their set. I had this ’83 Fleer template that I had not used yet so I thought I would try it out. Cody was one of the players that I had not seen before that was playing for the Railcats last week. Today he was traded as part of the last minute roster moves that Gary had to perform to get to 23 players. He will now be playing for the Edinburg Roadrunners of the North American League. (more…)

1983 Fleer – Juan Pierre (Special)

Here is the other half of the Super Star Special Card I made. Like I said I had made two separate cards for the 1971 set out of the same picture. I then came up with the idea to put them together on a 1983 Fleer card to mirror the classic Speed and Power card featuring Rickey Henderson and Reggie Jackson. I liked how it turned out so I had it post first thing this morning so that I had it on the site. As with the other card the full card is shown after the jump. (more…)

1983 Fleer – Starlin Castro (Special)

One of the cards that I really enjoyed as a kid was the Speed and Power card of Rickey Henderson and Reggie Jackson. I saw card, but it was actually two cards that you put together to form one card. I had a cool picture of Juan Pierre stealing a base, and Starlin Castro holding up his mitt. I made two separate 1971 Topps cards out of that one picture. As the cards sat in my folder waiting to be released on this site I noticed how they almost could be put together. That is when I came up with the idea for this card. It was a little trickier than I thought it would be to get both sides to line up. My first attempt left me with a picture that was a little off. Using the grid function in my program though allowed me to do it with ease. After the jump I have included an image of the card as one piece. (more…)

1983 Fleer – A.J. Pierzynski

Here is yet another oldie but goodie. This is the first regular White Sox card in the 1983 Fleer set that I have been making. I made a Joe Crede card as a Twin, and a Super Star Special card featuring Mark Buehrle and Dewayne Wise. I like the 1983 Fleer design, but may have to try and use my new program to make a new template. This one looks a little rough. (more…)
