1964 Topps – Jose Contreras
This card of Jose is the first new card that I have made in quite sometime. I saw Jose pitch yesterday for the Indianapolis Indians, and I knew that I had to make a card of him. He was a great pitcher for the White Sox in 2005 helping them win the World Series. I thought that I would give him a little love by making this card of him. He already has a few cards on this blog so he is no stranger to it. (more…)
1964 Topps – Pedro Alvarez
Pedro was one of the top prospects in the Pirates organization a couple of years ago. I was trying to get to see him while he was in Indianapolis, but he moved to the big club too quick for me to see him there. That is why I was happy last summer when he played a few games in Indy on a rehab assignment. The crowd was happy to see him as well. (more…)
1964 Topps – Carlos Quentin
Like the Konerko card I just posted this card was made this past winter. I had an old editing program, and I was still new to the card making game. I have a new template that I think is a little better so I thought I should release these older cards before I put out any new ones with the new template. (more…)
1964 Topps – Paul Konerko
I have four cards that have been sitting in my folder for some time. I have new templates for these cards so before I release any new cards with the new templates I feel I should post the cards that I made over the winter. I made a few cards of Paulie in a White Sox jersey this winter because I was not sure if he would be in that jersey this summer. Thankfully he is, but I have a few cards of him that I need to release. (more…)
1964 Topps – Alex Presley
All season long I have been reading the Twitter and Facebook feeds of the Indianapolis Indians. It seems like every game comes down to Alex Presley doing something for his team. I saw him play in person Saturday night, and he is already going to be called up to the Pirates for tomorrow nights game. I chose the 1964 Topps template for the Indy Indians cards because I liked how a little tweaking to the classic set made it look very cool. (more…)
1964 Topps – A.J. Pierzynski
This card is a bit of a stretch. I made a template of the 1964 Topps card early on in my card making days. I had trouble finding pictures to put on it though. After a while I realized that unless for some reason I was granted access to the players I would never fill these cards. I ended up just putting a few players on the card to see how it looked. I used this picture of A.J. signing for the fans on the last day of the season in 2010. (more…)
