2011 csd Custom – Mark Grace
Mark was a fan favorite of Cub fans for many years. He was a very good first baseman during a fairly successful run for the team. He finished his career in Arizona where he now works as a color man for their TV broadcasts. At first I tried to decide which team to make this card for. Mark is probably most well known for his time in Chicago, but he now works for Arizona. Since he was in Chicago at Wrigley singing the seventh inning stretch I chose the Cubs.
I took this picture earlier this season during a game against the Diamondbacks when Mark was leading the crowd in the singing of the seventh inning stretch. He was one of my favorite players in the 80’s so I knew he would make this set. I chose the ’88 Topps traded card for the back because it was one of my favorites at the time.
