2011 csd Custom – Lastings Milledge

I am sure it is no surprise, but here is the 2011 custom card of Lastings Milledge. I was both excited and worried when I saw that the Sox had signed Milledge. He was a great young prospect, but had some issues that seemed to have kept him from reaching his potential. After seeing how Kenny saw the potential in Carlos Quentin I learned not to judge him too early. After some rough outings early in the season the Sox needed an extra pitcher, and Milledge was sent down to make room for another arm on the staff. It will be interesting to see what he can bring to the Sox if anything this year.

This picture was taken on Opening Day as Milledge was running the bases. He got into the game because of the huge lead, and promptly smacked a double. As he was approaching first his helmet started to fly off. I loved how he was both running, and trying to keep the helmet on. In the past some players have tried to shuck the helmet for one reason or another. Milledge really did not want to lose it.
