merging my pictures and cards

1985 Topps – Bob Gibson

One of the most feared pitchers of the ’60’s was Bob Gibson. If you notice I didn’t even get too close to his statue. He even intimidates in bronze. He was a really great pitcher in an era dominated by great pitchers. That is saying something when you say that he is one of the greats.

This picture was taken outside of the new Busch Stadium. I have already put out a couple of cards from this series, but I had a couple more to release. I love how the team embraces its past. The White Sox are doing this by added about one statue a season in the outfield. The statues at Busch Stadium allow you to relive the past without a ticket.
