1989 Upper Deck – Mark Kotsay
This is another card that has been sitting in a file for a while. I made it as one of the first few Upper Deck cards just after the last game of the season. When I was going through my pictures I knew that this one had to be on a card.
The picture was taken as the White Sox were signing for fans as a fan appreciation deal at the Cell. Players like John Danks and Ramon Castro were making the most of it talking to the fans, and seemingly having a good time. Kotsay on the other hand kept checking the time, and really couldn’t wait to be done. He probably knew his time in Chicago was short, so why was he wasting time with the fans. This picture was taken as he was signing his last auto of the day.
