1986 Topps – Javier Vazquez

Javier came to the White Sox with a lot of promise. He had a great arm, and would look fantastic. For some reason though he go the reputation of wilting under pressure. He was the opposite of Big Game Freddy. If you could just have both of them, and use each Freddy for big games, and Javy for the other games you would have great production out of that slot in the rotation.

This picture was taken from the upper deck in 2008 as Javy was dealing for the Sox. That was his last season with the club, and he was traded to the Braves the following season.
