1989 Fleer – Paul Konerko
This is sort of a first for this site. Usually I try and stay as close to the original card as I can. In this case I thought that I would try the updated logo on the 89 Fleer. When I did that I had to change the upper and lower bars to black instead of red as they were on the original card. I still remember this set from back in the day, and as with all of them it seems, it is one of my favorites. I was happy to finally be able to get this card done. I am not sure if future 89 Fleer cards will look like the originals or if they will be modified like this one. Let me know which one you prefer.
I have way too many cards of Paulie sitting around. I made a few when I thought that he was done on the Sox. Being snowed in tonight I thought that I would make a couple more. This is the first of the cards that I made tonight. That is usually how I work making cards. I go in spurts where I make way too many, then take some time off. Being one on my favorite guys on the Sox I am sure that you will see the number of Konerko cards increase. If the set is in the categories chances are there is a Konerko card ready to go or already posted. Now I have more time to take a few more pictures of Paulie with the Sox.

Paulie is one of my favorites. I tend to have a few pictures of him as well as Buehrle. I really like how the card looks with the new logos. It almost looks as if that is how it was meant to be.
