Akinori Iwamura

One of the coolest parts of attending a Saturday game at Victory Field is the fact that you can meet the players prior to the game and get their autograph. I thought I would use this card to capture a bit of that on this site.The deal is not always one sided. As you can see Akinori is handing back a signed photo, but the fan generously gave Iwamura the same photo for him to keep. Akinori looked as if he really enjoyed getting the photo. I have seen this before at a Mud Hens game, and it shows you how these guys can be fans too. The Indians do a great job of keeping the fans close to the team. Their slogan is Baseball Up Close, and they deliver.
