The second card of Midwest League Monday is of A.J. Pollock. A.J. was the #17 overall pick in lasts years MLB draft taken right behind Bobby Borchering. Pollock was the highest Irish player ever taken in the draft. I watched A.J. while he was a member of the Irish, and was excited to see him continue his professional career. He had a solid season for the Silverhawks after joining the team in June. This season he has yet to see the field because of injury. He will go as far as his bat will take him because his glove is that good in the field. He can cover some ground in center.
This picture was taken last season while Pollock was on the Silverhawks. A.J. has a big, beautiful swing that is fun to capture on film.
